Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before, during, and after your order.
Orders & pre-order
In-stock items are readily available in our inventory and ready to ship within 3–5 business days. Pre-order items are not yet in inventory and require up to 8 weeks of production time before they are ready to ship.
All in-stock sales are final. Pre-orders are personally assigned to artisans at the time of purchase and cannot be cancelled.
We occasionally create custom and made-to-measure pieces. These orders require approximately 15–20 weeks of production time. If you are interested in working directly with our founder — whether to tailor an existing catalog design to your measurements or to create something entirely new — please reach out at hello@siquicha.com.
Please note that all designs created by SIQUICHA are owned by the business, and we reserve the right to offer them as catalog pieces in the future, even if originally made as a custom order.
Please refer to our size guide to find your best fit before ordering.

SIQUICHA ships internationally from Peru. Depending on your country's import regulations, your order may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees upon arrival. Customers are responsible for any such charges, which are collected directly by DHL or your local customs office and are not included in the product price or shipping fee.
SIQUICHA has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. We recommend contacting your local customs office before placing your order. Note for U.S. customers: imports valued under $800 USD are generally exempt from U.S. customs duties.
All international orders include full DHL tracking. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your DHL tracking number. You can monitor your shipment in real time at dhl.com.
If your tracking shows a delivery you did not receive, please contact us within 7 days of the listed delivery date at hello@siquicha.com with your order number and any relevant photos. We will work with DHL to investigate and find a fair resolution. Please note that SIQUICHA is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing, incorrect addresses provided at checkout, or other circumstances outside our control.
Product & craftsmanship
SIQUICHA partners with La Colonial to source 100% organic Peruvian cotton for all fabrics woven into our production.
Yes. Slight variations in color, texture, and weave are an inherent and celebrated quality of handmade textiles. These are not considered defects — they are a mark of the artisan's hand.
We recommend dry cleaning your SIQUICHA piece. Remove or protect any braids and pom-poms before washing. Avoid wearing sharp jewelry that may tug at the threads.
The fabrics are woven by local artisans from communities in Peru. They are then sent to Lima, where they are tailored by a local family who partners with us to create each collection. Every piece carries a credit label on the interior with the name of the artisan who wove it. You can meet each artisan on our artisans page.
Returns & payments
Due to the artisanal nature of our pieces and the cost of international shipping, all sales are final. Please review our full Refund Policy before purchasing.
If your item arrives damaged or is materially different from what was described, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@siquicha.com with photos and your order number. We will work with you to find a fair resolution.
We accept region-specific currencies and various payment methods at checkout, including credit and debit card.
Brand & values
The siquicha is a Quechua word from Cajamarca, Peru, meaning the weaver's tether — the tool that binds an artisan to her loom and connects her to every thread. Our brand carries this name because our mission is to serve as a similar tool: one that links an ancient craft to the person who wears it. Every garment becomes a connection, from the loom in the Andes to the streets of a cosmopolitan city.
SIQUICHA supports artisans in three core ways:
- Access to materials. Fine cotton threads are a costly investment that lead many artisans to work with synthetic threads instead. SIQUICHA invests in sourcing the finest natural raw materials and distributes them directly to artisans — removing an accessibility barrier and reducing synthetic textile production.
- Guaranteed weaving compensation. Our field research found that artisans earn an average of $10 per month selling textiles independently. SIQUICHA has established fair pricing models based on a direct study of the market, compensating artisans for their labor so they weave with the assurance that their work will be fruitful.
- Commission-based sales model. Each artisan receives a portion of every sale, in addition to their weaving compensation. As SIQUICHA grows, so do the artisans who make it possible.
