Collection: Riti FW26
In Chinchero, Cusco there is a ritual that marks a young girl's initiation as a weaver. After completing her first textile, she walks to the river and offers it to the current, allowing it to drift downstream. Just as her textile is carried by the current, the knowledge she has gained never ceases to flow within her.
Inspired by this ritual, we developed the designs for our FW26 collection. Each piece includes an element of protection in the form of iconography, stones, or plant dyes. Reminding us that we are protected in our own journeys and that the current will carry us through the next bend.
The Riti Collection was named after the alpaca who we lived with while designing this collection. Her name means 'snow' in Quechua.
